According to reports, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will actively promote the process of 5G RedCap standards and build a full range of testing standards system covering base stations, terminals, general modules and other equipment. We will continue to promote the upgrading and opening of the 5G RedCap network, and achieve continuous coverage of more than 100 cities at the prefecture level and above by December this year.

According to the notice, more than 100 5G RedCap terminal products will be launched around industrial gateways, cameras, automatic guided transport vehicles (AGV), etc., to meet the application needs of power, industry, security and other fields. Focus on breaking through the R & D and innovation of 5G RedCap in consumer electronic products such as smartwatches and vehicle terminal equipment, and gradually achieve a new breakthrough in 5G RedCap terminals.
